"As Gilda, Veronica Mak had commendable moments – her performance of ‘Caro nome’ was well sung, and she appeared to inhabit the character believably."

— Opera Wire

Chinese-American Soprano Veronica Mak, based in New York City, is equally passionate and fulfilled in the fields of operatic, choral, and contemporary repertoire.

During her 2023/2024 season, Ms. Mak made her role debut as Gilda in Regina Opera's production of Rigoletto. Ms. Mak's performance of the late production "appeared to inhabit the character believably" (Opera Wire). Veronica also made her company debut with Garden State Opera and role debut as Bastienne for their production of Bastien und Bastienne. Ms. Mak was a selected participant for The Thirteen Vocal Fellows Program, a vocal fellowship providing mentorship and prominent music-making environment.  Veronica was later featured as the  Soprano Soloist of Schubert Mass No. 2 in G  for Stamford Chorale's 75th Anniversary Concert. Ms. Mak concluded her season with  participating at the Grant Park Music Festival Vocal Fellowship as the Soprano Vocal Fellow in June.

During her 2022/2023 season, Veronica made her company debut with Regina Opera (Brooklyn, NY) as Monica from The Medium. She was also invited to perform a series of concerts through Regina Opera Company, including duets and arias from Rigoletto, Le Nozze di Figaro, and Hansel und Gretel.  After her Regina Opera debut, she was featured as a soloist in Fresh Squeezed Opera's Vocal Showcase: "I just want to have a good f*cking day!"

"In “Knightly News,” (music by Jonathan Stinson and lyrics by Stinson and Sarah Rogevich), each performer had moments to truly shine. Mak was downright hilarious."
